At the Jaumandreu estate, 60 hectares have been retrieved for the cultivation of vines. Set among gentle slopes, once again vines have been planted to provide the Jaumandreu wines. Since 2001, different grape varieties have been gradually introduced including Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Sauvignon blanc. Currently, the only variety left to plant is the local grape of this region, called the Picapoll. The personality of the wines from Bages is conditioned by its rigorous climate, scarce rainfall and undulated soil types. These conditions determine a limited grape production but of exceptional quality. At Jaumandreu, the vines are cared for day after day to ensure they offer the very best they have. This is a young vintage, brimming with promise.
